International Move Coordinator - San Francisco, CA

Job Summary: The International Move Coordinator plays a vital role in coordinating and optimizing logistics operations and is also responsible for prioritizing daily tasks, coordinating services with vendors and agents, ensuring adherence to transportation plans, negotiating pricing, managing logistics payments, and providing critical updates to stakeholders. The International Move Coordinator must have proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail in resolving issues and maintaining efficient operations while supporting overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize daily logistics tasks based on urgency and global vendor availability
  • Coordinate services with vendors and agents per move manager instructions
  • Monitor task completion according to transportation plans and propose solutions for issues
  • Negotiate price reductions with vendors to enhance profitability
  • Update task management systems daily for real-time status updates
  • Communicate shipment status to move managers, customers, agents, and national accounts
  • Manage COD/Prepaid costs and coordinate payments via Corporate Payments
  • Alert move managers promptly about unexpected expenses and provide performance feedback on vendors and agents
  • Arrange urgent vendor payments and address inquiries from agents, national accounts, and customers
  • Assist move managers in reviewing invoices and ensure timely filing of necessary documents

Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills, including proficiency with MS Office suite
  • 2 years of transportation experience preferred
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of the metric system
