Account Administrator

Job Summary: The Account Administrator plays a crucial role in managing logistics operations efficiently. Their responsibilities will include creating and monitoring orders in our logistics management system, tracking and tracing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. In addition, they will collaborate closely with providers to ensure timely receipt of goods, manage inventory receipts, and generate necessary reports, and they will provide essential administrative support, including answering phones, directing inquiries, and supporting general account administrator activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage orders in the logistics management system, ensuring all updates are recorded accurately and promptly
  • Establish and maintain inventory records by project in the logistics inventory system
  • Collect receiving reports from providers, monitor the administration of reports, and accurately enter inventory receipts into the system
  • Collect proof of deliveries from providers, monitor the administration of proof of delivery, update inventory records accordingly, and generate required inventory reports
  • Provide telephone support, direct calls to the appropriate personnel and address customer inquiries as needed
  • Maintain a general understanding of logistics activities and inventory control concepts to support operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent industry related experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative support experience within a logistics or transportation environment
  • Third-party logistics experience is preferred
  • Proficient in data entry with the ability to be accurate and speedy
  • Ability to utilize logistics systems effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Working knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control principles
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
